Ferran Torres Garcia was born on 29th of February 2000 in the province municipal of Foios, Spain. He was born into a middle class family who lives somewhere in the outskirt of Valencia. His mother’s name is M Dolores Garcia.

Growing up, all Ferran ever dreamt about was playing and wearing the national team Jersey, their family wasn’t too poor so life wasn’t all that difficult.

Ferran Torres Garcia is the first son of three and the second child of the family. He has an elder sister named Arantxa Torres Garcia. Ferran Torres is closest to his older sister as they practically grew up together.

Ferran Torres started playing football at a very young age and has gone on to be a big prospect in Spanish football.

Club Career

Ferran joined the Valencia youth team in 2006 at the age of six.

On 15th of October 2016, aged 16, Ferran made his senior debut with the CF Valencia reserves team against Mallorca, coming on as a substitute for Grego, in the segunda division b, a game they lost by 2-0.

Prior to the 2017-2018 season, Ferran was promoted to the Valencia B team.
On 26th of August 2017, Ferran scored his first senior career goal against Girona B in the segunda division, a game they won 4-1.

Ferran put in consistent performances all through the campaign, something that didn’t go unnoticed as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United amongst many others were fighting for his signature.
Ferran decided it wasn’t time to leave, so he penned a five year extension in with Valencia in October that same year taking his buyout clause to €25million.

On 1st of January 2018, Ferran Torres Garcia was promoted to the CF Valencia senior team to compensate his great performances with the B team.
Prior to the promotion, Ferran had already made his senior debut in a Copa Del Rey fixture against Real Zaragoza on 30th November 2017.

He also made his league debut on 16 of December that same year against Eibar, becoming the first player born in the 2000s to play  la liga.

Ferran made his champions league debut on 23rd of October 2018 against Young Boys. He also scored his first league goal in January 2019 against Celta De Vigo.
He however couldn’t play in the Copa Del Rey final that same year as he watched on as his team defeated Barcelona by 2-1 to win the competition.

Ferran became the youngest Valencia player to score in the UCL when he scored his first UCL goal against Lille on 5th November 2019. The game ended 4-1 in favour of Valencia.
Making his 50th league appearances at 19years 254days against Real betis on 23rd of November 2019, Ferran became the youngest Valencia player to achieve that feat breaking a 58 years old record in the process.

On 4 of August 2020, after battling it out with various top tier clubs, Manchester City Football Club announced the signing of Ferran Torres Garcia for a reported fee around €23million.

Ferran made his debut in the first game of the season wearing the No 21 Jersey against Wolverhampton wanderers. He came on as a substitute as his team won that game by 3-1.

Torres had to wait a couple of months more before getting his first goal for the club in an EFL game on 30th September against Burnley.

Ferran scored on his champions League debut against Porto on 21st October 2020.

At 20 years 241 days, Ferran became the youngest Spanish to score in three consecutive champions League games.

Torres had to wait a little longer to score his first Premier League goal, it came in November in a 5-0 rout of Burnley. His first hat trick came against Newcastle United in May 2021.

Whilst still in England, Ferran has always reiterated the desire to return home. That was why he wasted no time to make his intentions clear to Pep when Barcelona came knocking again.

On 28 December 2021, City and Football Club Barcelona agreed a fee of €55million + €10million in add ons for the transfer of Ferran Torres Garcia.

Ferran signed a 5 years contract with Barcelona and has been hit with a €1billion buyout clause by club president Joan Laporta.

International Career

Ferran Torres Garcia has represented Spain in various international categories.

Ferrans Spain defeated England in the U-17 European Championship in 2017 but lost out in the U-17 FIFA World Cup to the same England that same year.

In 2019, he played and won the U-19 European Championship grabbing both goals against Portugal in the finals.

He also appeared and scored for the U-21s a couple of times.

Ferran Torres Garcia made his debut for the Spanish national team few weeks after signing for Manchester City and made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Germany in the nation’s League.

Three days later, Ferran scored his first international goal against Ukraine in the same competition.

On 17 november 2020 Ferran got his first international hat trick in a 6-0 dismantling of Germany.

Ferran was included in the 24 man squad list to go to the Euros in 2021. He got his first euro goal against Croatia in the round of 16 in June.

On 6 October, Ferran scored both goals as Spain knocks out Italy in the nations League.

They eventually lost the finals to France but Ferran was joint top scorer alongside Benzema and Mbappe.
