Memphis Depay set to leave Barcelona in the summer (Details)
It’s been a turbulent season for Memphis Depay at Barcelona. When the Dutch player joined the blaugrana it seemed like he’d be the face on a new project.
Few months down the line and he’s out of favour and seeking a move elsewhere.
Depay had Barcelona at his feet in his first few months at the club all thanks to fellow Dutchman Ronald Koeman.
Koeman has since been sacked and Xavi has been appointed. It’s been obvious even before his arrival that Memphis doesn’t suit the Xavi style and now a move away is very likely.

💥 Memphis has offers to leave Barça and will make his decision in the summer.
☎️ The Dutch forward had offers to leave Barça in January but decided to stay. There are already teams keen on signing him in the summer, although the player won’t make any decision until the end of the campaign.
He wants to see what role awaits for him at Barça when he returns from a hamstring injury. The arrivals of Adama Traore, Ferran Torres and Aubameyang could leave him without minutes, while Dembélé has also stayed and Ansu Fati could return before the end of the season.
🏥 Memphis has played just twice since injuring his hamstring against Bayern Munich in December and then suffering a relapse after the Real Madrid Supercopa defeat on Jan. 12.
▶️ He wants to see how Xavi uses him. His dream is to succeed at Camp Nou, that’s why he accepted a lower offer to come, but he also wants to play. He wants to feel like an important player and teams in Italy are sounding out his situation.
💸 What is certain is that if Barça do decide to let him leave, they can’t ask for much for him. He joined on a free but only on a two-year deal.
