Former Barcelona coach criticises Xavi’s coaching: “Play Luuk if you want to cross”

In a shocking turn of events, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has started receiving solid criticism as former Barcelona Femeni coach takes a dig at his tactics.
While having a conversation with Gerard Romero, Lluis Cortes has questioned the tactical approach of the Barcelona manager.

The 42 year old Blaugrana legend took over the first team in November 2021 after things went sour with former manager Ronald Koeman.
After a slow start, Xavi eventually found balance as his team went on an impressive 14 matches unbeaten run, making it to the quarterfinals of the Europa League and climbing to second position in la liga from ninth.
However all work went to waste in a single week as barcelona were knocked out of Europe by Frankfurt with a 2-3 loss in the camp now.
Another loss followed few days later as Cadiz struck a blow to their la liga title dreams
With performances and result taking a dig, several criticisms has been thrown towards Xavi and Lluis Cortes happens to be the latest.
The former Femeni manager who’s in charge of the Ukrainian female national team said
The history of the club requires you to play in a certain way. Either you are very good with the Barça DNA or it is very easy to annul you. Why doesn’t Nico appear more? If you are going to cross, why doesn’t Luuk play?”
It is understandable that people are asking questions during the bad phase but as we all know it that Xavi has done an incredible job since taking over.
