Barcelona director Mateu Allemany has revealed that the club has held talks with Rudiger’s agent but insisted the players future was not discussed.
After their last game against Westham, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel revealed that defender Antonio Rudiger has revealed he’ll be leaving the club when his contract expires in the summer.
It was also revealed that due to Abrahimovichs sanctions, Chelsea could not meet Rudiger’s financial demands.
Various clubs are said to be in the run for the players signature with Barcelona and real madrid to be in pole position to poach the German international.
Allemany went on :
We already have advanced ideas,” He said. “We will make a collective evaluation when the league ends or when our position is definitively set.
“Last summer was complicated as we were blocked at the ‘fair play’ level. Now we are satisfied with the coaching staff and we intend to make a leap in quality.
“Our desire is to make a competitive team for next year.”
